Zack Segel is an actor, musician, and producer based in New York City. He produced and starred in the indie feature film Datsche, which played at a dozen festivals around the world before releasing theatrically across Germany. Other on-screen acting credits include East New York on CBS, HBO’s Search Party, BET+’s First Wives Club, Amazon’s Hunters and the indie comedy VHYES.
Zack worked closely with Obie Award-winning playwright Young Jean Lee to develop the script of Straight White Men, which ran at the Public Theater and on Broadway, and he’s performed onstage at BAM, the New Group, Ars Nova, and La MaMa E.T.C., among many other off-Broadway and downtown theatre venues. As a musician, Zack composes music for film and regularly performs as a drummer in New York City.
